Middlebury
The Middlebury Area Land Trust has strung together a series of properties that provide walkers the chance to circumnavigate the town. Birders might be particularly interested in Wright Park with its mix of forests, fields and shrubs along the Otter Creek.
Otter View Park
In addition to the TAM, Otter Creek Audubon has partnered with the Middlebury Area Land Trust to set aside 15-acres on the Weybridge-Middlebury border, at the corner of Weybridge St. and Pulp Mill Bridge Rd. The property has walking trails and a boardwalk into marshes along the Otter Creek. Several pairs of swamp sparrows nest each year in the cattails along the boardwalk.
