On February, 14,  former Otter Creek Audubon Society board member, Mike Winslow, gave a presentation on The Owls of Vermont, the second of our three Cabin Fever Lecture Series presentations for 2013. If you missed it, thanks to the production facilities of Middlebury Community Television, you can view this presentation online. Apologies for the poor video quality on this one, but the audio and stories are still great.

Mike has surveyed owls for the Middlebury and Ferrisburg Christmas Bird Counts and for the Vermont Breeding Bird Atlas. He is the staff scientist for the Lake Champlain Committee and the author of Lake Champlain: A Natural History. He is the recipient of the Steven Young Environmental Award given by Audubon Vermont.

Our final lecture, “Albatrosses and their Interactions with Long-line Fisheries”, presented by Susan Roney Drennan, will take place Thursday, March 14, 7:00 PM, at the Ilsley Public Library. See our Calendar or Events to learn about all our upcoming activities.
