Great Horned Owl caught in a fence

Great Horned Owls are known for being the ¬†consummate opportunistic hunter, with everything skunk sized and smaller on their menu. So when one in Cornwall recently came across a chicken that didn’t make it into its coop for the night, it probably didn’t hesitate to go after it. It may have had regrets however when it became entangled in the chicken fencing. Fortunately for it, the chicken’s owner was forgiving and managed to free it by covering it with a towel and cutting the fence away from it. After which it was able to fly off on its own.
