The Middlebury Area Land Trust has strung together a series of properties and rights-of-way that provide hikers, runners, and for some sections, bicyclers the chance to circumnavigate the town of Middlebury. Birders might be particularly interested in Wright Park with its mix of forests, fields and shrubs along the Otter Creek. Chipman Hill also provides great birding in the spring and summer being a regular stop-over for migrating warblers and nesting habitat for forest birds.
